Recently a friend came to visit, with a couple of her other friends, and we got the chance to have some fun adventures. This is more a what I ate in a few days while I pretended to be on vacation with them.
Island Vintage Coffee acai bowl. Not bad but still not the best in town because… soy milk.
I imagine it’s hard to mess up watermelon juice. This $3 cup from India Cafe was so refreshing after being in the hot sun at Lanikai beach!
Side note: I randomly met Eva from MyLifeAsEva out near the water. Such a sweet girl!
We had dinner at Tropics and I was sad to find out that they changed out their menu so I settled for this salad instead of my usual (I forgot what it’s called) with purple sweet potatoes in it. It was good but not filling at all, of course (and for $15? Highway robbery!). So Joe and I went to Down To Earth, afterwards, and I got some snacks before they closed.
This tapioca pudding with purple sweet potatoes from Pho Bistro was so tasty. But I quickly regretted eating it after I got half way through. The rest of the evening felt like a bad night of drinking. Way too much sugar!
In conclusion I’d say it’s always better to prepare your own food as much as possible and stick to a few places that never let you down.
